Youth leaders from all over Hungary can now apply for training to help them teach the Bible to youth faithfully, relevantly and clearly.
Applications are now open for Acorn Bible Training – Acorn Bibliai Képzés (ABK). The message has gone out to people throughout Hungary and over the borders, through the newsletter and the promotional video of Béla, a person representing different kinds of youth leaders who might want to build on their teaching skills. You can see the video here.
Please pray now that youth leaders and pastors throughout Hungary and beyond see the value of growing in their Bible teaching ability. Pray they would want this for themselves and their church’s youth leaders and then apply to this course.
The two ‘ABK Taster Days’ in April were well-received. 24 participants signed in to get a flavour of the course. The days started off with youth talks, after which the speakers received feedback. Following this, the sessions focused on Luke 13 and Jesus’ urging to not worry. First of all the groups looked closely at the text to understand why we have it in our Bibles. During the second half they considered how to best communicate its message to teenagers.
The enthusiasm of the participants was one highlight of the sessions! Another was that there really wasn’t cause to worry – during the sessions many barriers were overcome and the response to the days was overwhelmingly positive. We praise the LORD!
Some have applied for the ABK course since these days took place, while others continue to think about it. Pray the right people would apply so that at least 12 leaders can continue growing in their Bible-teaching to youth!
