Acorncamps uses any personal data &#8211; information &#8211; that we collect about you when you use this website, apply to volunteer on a camp, provide a reference, make a donation or ask to receive Your personal data \u2013 what is it?<\/h4>\n\u201cPersonal data\u201d is any information about a living individual which allows them to be identified from that data (for example a name, photographs, videos, email address, or address). Identification can be by the information alone or in conjunction with any other information. The processing of personal data is governed by the Data Protection Bill\/Act 2018 the General Data Protection Regulation 2016\/679 (the \u201cGDPR\u201d) and other legislation relating to personal data and rights such as the Human Rights Act 1998.\n<h4>2. Who are we?<\/h4>\nAcorn is the working name for Acorn Hungary Trust. The trust is both a charity (number 1127958) and a company limited by guarantee (number 6166793), both registered in England.\n\nWe promise to respect any personal data that you share with us or that we otherwise get (as described in this privacy notice). We promise to keep it safe. We always aim to be clear when collecting your data how it will be used and never to do anything you would not reasonably expect.\n\nThe Managing Director is the Data Protection Lead for your data (contact details below) and is responsible for how your personal information is processed and for what purposes. Where and how do we collect your information?<\/h4>\nThe vast majority of information we process is what you give to us, for example when:\n<ul>\n \t<li>you apply to be a student on Acorn Bibliai K\u00e9pz\u00e9s (Acorn Bible Training);<\/li>\n \t<li>you apply to be a volunteer on our camps;<\/li>\n \t<li>you sign up to receive information about Acorn via newsletters or email<\/li>\n \t<li>you donate to support us in our work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nWe also use cookies, as described in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acorn.hu\/cookies-policy\/?lang=en\">cookies policy<\/a>.\n\nWe may get Information from other organisations\/individuals when you give them permission to share your details, or your information is available publicly. For example you may express an interest in ABK training and your details are passed on to us via a third party.\n<h4>4. What information do we collect and how do we use it?<\/h4>\nThe nature of the information and processing depends on the purpose for collecting it and the nature of your relationship with us.\n\n<em>Applying for Acorn Bibliai K\u00e9pz\u00e9s (Acorn Bible Training)<\/em>\nYour Name, contact details, the church you attend, academic\/professional qualifications, safeguarding information. This enables Acorn to provide a voluntary service for the benefit of the public as specified in Acorn Hungary Trust deed, which includes training events and camps.\n\n<em>Safeguarding information &#8211; DBS \/ Erk\u00f6lcsi Bizony\u00edtv\u00e1ny (E.B. &#8211; Certificate of Good Character)<\/em>\nABK students who hold youth groups with teenagers and any volunteers on camps are required to complete a DBS \/ E.B. Acorn must carry out comprehensive safeguarding procedures (including due diligence and complaints handling) in accordance with UK best safeguarding practice, with the aim of ensuring that all children and adults-at-risk are provided with safe environments; this includes carrying out reference checks, and criminal referencing.\n\n<em>Donating to support our work \/ payment for ABK and other Acorn-related events<\/em>\nYour name, email address, bank account number, payment card number, and payment\/transaction identifier. This enables the processing of requests &amp; donations (including Gift Aid information), maintains our own accounts and records, provides a personalised service (e.g. emails), and enables Acorn to keep records of the relationship, e.g. questions you\u2019ve asked or complaints you\u2019ve made.\n\n<em>Receiving news\/prayer information about Acorn<\/em>\nYou give us your name and email\/postal address when you sign up to receive information about news, events, activities and resources relating to Acorn Hungary Trust.\n\n<em>Marketing Requests<\/em>\nYou give us your consent to contact you about other information relating to Acorn that may be of interest to you, and that help fundraise or promote the interests of Acorn Hungary Trust and its activities. Acorn may also seek your views or comments and notify you of changes to our services, events and role holders.\n\n<em>Website usage information<\/em>\nThis is collected using cookies. Information about what cookies are and what we do with the information we collect can be found in our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.acorn.hu\/cookies-policy\/?lang=en\">cookies policy<\/a>.\n<h4>5. How long do we keep your information for?<\/h4>\nWe hold your information for only as long as necessary for the purpose needed. \u2018For only as long as necessary\u2019 varies according to the nature of the information. For example, if you have declared gift aid, HMRC require us to store your declaration, name and address for seven years. Further details are contained in our retention policy, a copy of which is available on request by email to us [see contact details in section 13 of this privacy policy].\n<h4>6. What is the legal basis for processing your personal information?<\/h4>\n<ol>\n \t<li>Most of our data is collected and processed because it is necessary for our legitimate interests. These include provision of mission weeks, training events and communication connected to our activities. We will always take into account your interests, rights and freedoms.<\/li>\n \t<li>Some of our processing is necessary to ensure we meet government requirements. For example, we are required to seek DBS checks on all our staff and volunteers in the interests of safeguarding young people and adults, and to publish certain amalgamated data in our annual accounts.<\/li>\n \t<li>We may also process data if it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you, or to take steps to enter into a contract. An example of this would be processing your data in order to provide you with a mentor as part of the ABK training.<\/li>\n \t<li>Where your information is used other than in accordance with one of these legal bases, we will first obtain your consent to that use, for example when sending communication about Acorn and its activities to supporters. Consent in these circumstances can be withdrawn at any time by following the steps outlined below, see Section 9 &#8211; Your Choices\/Rights.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4>7. How do we keep your information secure?<\/h4>\nAcorn comply with their obligations under the \u201cGDPR\u201d by keeping personal information up to date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of information; by protecting personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access and disclosure and by ensuring that appropriate technical measures are in place to protect personal data.\n<h4>8. Sharing your personal information<\/h4>\nWe will not sell your data. We will not share your data for marketing purposes unless you have actively consented to this. However, in some circumstances we may need to share your details with a third party for processing. For example, we may use a third party to process your personal details if we need to send your data to a mailing house in order to fulfil a postal mailing to you, this could include sending you a letter about your support to Acorn. We currently use MailChimp to send out some emails: please note that your personal data will be treated in accordance with this privacy policy as well as that of MailChimp which can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchimp.com\/legal\/privacy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>. Similarly, MailChimp may place and use cookies in accordance with <a href=\"https:\/\/mailchimp.com\/legal\/cookies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">its cookie policy<\/a>. We also store personal information on <a href=\"https:\/\/policies.google.com\/privacy?hl=en&amp;gl=ZZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google<\/a> Drive (see Privacy Policies by clicking on their name)\n<h4>9. Your choices and your personal information<\/h4>\nPreferences: If you want to change what we send you, or how we contact you, just let us know &#8211; e.g. you can tell us you no longer want news or ask us to contact you by email rather than post. See all contact details at the end of this document (section 15)\n\nAt any time you can:\n<ol>\n \t<li><em>Access information we hold on you\u00a0<\/em>\nYou may contact us to request the information we hold on you as well as why we have that information, who has access to the information and where we obtained the information from.
