Our team

Andy Oatridge

Acorn Team Leader

Andy has a long-standing love for Hungary, for youth work and for seeing the Bible taught well. Together with his wife Zsófi he co-founded Acorn. An Anglican minister and Liverpool supporter, Andy loves having ideas, playing football, watching films and chilling out with his family.

Zsófi Oatridge

Acorn staff worker and ABK teacher

Together with her husband Andy and 3 children, Zsófi moved back to her homeland Hungary in 2013 having lived in the UK for 10 years. She enjoys teaming up with Andy in the Acorn office and beyond, baking with the kids and going for countryside walks.

Sam Bronsdon

Acorn Camps Coordinator

Sam moved to Hungary in 2021 with his wife Tirca. After meeting at The Oakes Holiday Centre in Sheffield, he now is continuing the work of Acorn Camps with her. He’s a bit crazy for football and all things music and enjoys a fun creative project.

Szabó András

Operations Manager

András joined the team in 2021 with the main task of setting up Acorn as a Hungarian charity. His background is in youth work at his church, paramedic and social work, as well as HR work within international companies. Surprisingly he finds enjoyment in reading Hungarian law!

Bori Mikola

ABK teacher

Bori is a Reformed pastor working at the Budapest Külső-Kelenföld Church. She has organised several camps with Acorn since 2006 and more recently paths have crossed through the Langham Preaching movement. Bori now works on Acorn’s training team.

Jane Dennis

UK Finance Administrator

Jane, with her husband Tim, became connected to Acorn through friendship with the Oatridge family. Jane now works behind the scenes, dealing with all the finances of the charity. Jane currently lives in Basingstoke with their 5 kids to keep her busy at home!

Hungarian & UK Volunteers

We have many people in Hungary and the UK who help in a variety of ways in support of the training and some of the background admin work.
